2. Deputy Librarian / Senior Information Analyst: 2 (two) posts
Pay Band: ` 15600-39100/- (PB-3) + Academic Grade Pay ` 8000/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience: Deputy Librarian: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade and consistently good academic record. One year specialization in the area of information Technology/Archives and Manuscript Keeping/Database management systems. 8 years experience as University Assistant Librarian or College Librarian. Evidence of innovative Library Service and organization of published work.
Desirable: M. Phil/Ph.D. degree in library Science/InformationScience/Documentation/Archives and manuscript keeping, computerization of library.
3. Assistant Librarian / Information Analyst: 3 (three) posts
Pay Band: ` 15600-39100/- (PB-3) + Academic Grade Pay ` 6000/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience: Assistant Librarian: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade plus a consistently good academic record
OR
A Postgraduate degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent with 55% marks or its equivalent grade with Bachelor’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% or its equivalent grade plus a consistently good academic record with digital library experiences. Information Analyst: MCA
or
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering plus Bachelor’s degree in Library Science. Candidates for Information Analyst with excellent experience relevant to Library automation but do not have a degree in Library Science may be considered with the condition that if selected a B. Lib. Degree should be acquired by the candidate within three years of appointment in the Institute.
